Me before You
Me before You was released in 2016. It was directed by Thea Sharrock. It starred Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin. It grossed over $206 million. This film was a very realistic depiction of "euthanasia”. I thought it would be a happy film in which a man and a woman gradually get to know each other and their way of living and thinking turn out to be in a good direction, but it was a weighty film that made me think about living and dying. Euthanasia, the "choice of death," made me think about this very hard. Even if a person wants euthanasia because he or she is in pain or because it would be too painful to live any longer, it is not an easy decision for the remaining family members to make. Although it cannot be assumed from the title, this is one work in which the main theme is the heavy subject of "euthanasia" on human life.
